Jerry TRAPP Obituary

TRAPP Jerry E. Jerry E. Trapp, 67 years, of Temperance, MI passed away Friday, January 13, 2012, in his home surrounded by his loved ones. The son of Donald E. and Esther C. (Braun) Trapp he was born September 30, 1944, in Toledo. Jerry was a 1964 graduate of Bedford High School. On October 25, 1985, he married Karen M. Salo in Toledo. Jerry lived by "one man's junk was another man's treasure". He was an avid sports fan and card player. Jerry was the world's best husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He is survived by his loving wife, Karen; children, Jeffrey E. (Melanie) Trapp, Rachael M. (Kevin) Stark, Veronica R. Trapp; grandchildren, Jeffrey D. Trapp, Mathew Trapp, Madison Stark; honorary children, Troy Tidwell and Emily Dickinson; sister, Betty A. Garner; brothers, Michael J. (Phyllis) Trapp and Douglas P. (Glenda) Trapp. He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles A. Trapp. Visitation will be Wednesday January 18, 2012, from 2 until 8 p.m. in Urbanski's Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Avenue Temperance, MI where a celebration of his life will be held on Thursday January 19, 2012, at 11 a.m. Cremation will follow. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Online condolences may be shared at bedfordfuneralchapel.com

Karen, I was so sorry to hear that Jerry had died. I didn't read the paper till last night, so didn't know about the viewing in time to attend. I do know what you are going thru and your family and friends will help you through it. Don't hesitate to call if you just want to talk to someone that has gone through the same thing.

I will always remember when Uncle Sherry would come to my old job while he was out looking for treasures! He would sit and talk to me while he drank his coffee and made me feel special. He was a great uncle to me and I will always miss him! I love you Aunt Karen, Racheal, and Veronica.

I will remember Jerry as a friend that always made me happy to be around him. He was forever doing or saying things to make me laugh . We had many good times together , Bowling , Shooting pool, hanging out at the House in the Shop out back . He was a good guy with a kind Heart , and a loving spirit , I will miss you my Friend ,until I see you again .

Aunt Karen, Rachael and Veronica,
I am thinking about you at this difficult time. Uncle Jerry was a fun person to be around. I am lucky to have had someone like him in my life. He will be missed. I will never forget my trip to the Tigers game or hanging up on him when he called or many of the other crazy things he did. My prayers are with you.
