Daniel M.
Daniel M. Wheeler, 34, of Sylvania Township, died Wednesday, June 29, 2016, the result of an accidental heroin overdose. Dan was born May 12, 1982 in Toledo, to parents David and Terri (Hastings) Wheeler. He attended Rogers High School were he excelled at all sports, especially baseball. Dan graduated in 2000 from Summerfield High School. He was motivated, inspiring, and was an adventurous cook. The proudest moments in Dan's life were when he finished the Glass City and participated in the half Ironman Marathon in 2014.
He is survived by his loving parents; brother, Marcus T. Wheeler; dear friend and companion, Abby Hassen; his friend and almost sister, Victoria Scott.
Friends may call at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St., Sylvania, OH Saturday, July 2, from 2 p.m. until the Funeral Ceremony at 5 p.m.
Dan's family would like to thank Bob May, his mentor and friend and Counselor Todd Crandell for all their love and support.
Those wishing to offer memorials, in lieu of flowers, are asked to consider Racing for Recovery.
No one sets out to be a heroin addict, Dan did his best, he will be forever loved, missed, and remembered.

Terri and Dave I am so sorry to hear about Daniel. I will always remember the times at Dees when you guys were waiting for your food and we would all play that silly game on the tablet.
