Reagan Delaney
Reagan Delaney Tokes, 21, of Columbus, OH and formerly of Monclova Township was tragically taken from us on Thursday, February 9, 2017.
Reagan was born on March 13, 1995 in Edgewood, Kentucky to Toby and Lisa
(McCrary) Tokes. She was a vibrant, young woman who had a passion for life and an amazing smile that lit up the room. Reagan was an honor student and graduate of
Anthony Wayne High School where she was a four year varsity tennis player and also played on the lacrosse team. She was very proud to attend The Ohio State University, where she was currently a senior and was looking forward to graduating in May with a degree in Psychology. Reagan loved animals, being outside in nature and spending time with her family and friends whom she cherished dearly. Her upbringing in the Christian faith taught her to have a passion to help others less fortunate than herself.
Reagan is survived by her parents, Toby and Lisa Tokes of Parkland, FL.; sister, Makenzie Rae Tokes; their dog, Ellie; grandparents, Linda McCrary, Frank and Teena Tokes; great-grandmother, Garnet Whaley; uncles, Jamie Tokes, Jeff (Amanda) McCrary and their children, Keegan, Maeve and Rylan; aunt, Kris Stewart; and many loving cousins, extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her great- grandparents; grandfather; great-uncles.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at the Maumee United Methodist Church, 405 Sackett St., Maumee, OH 43537 where funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 15, with Pastor Scot Ocke and Pastor Joanie Schilling officiating. Burial services will follow at Fort Meigs Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in the form of contributions to the Reagan Tokes Memorial Fund at any Huntington Bank location. Arrangements are being handled by Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary St., Perrysburg, OH 43551 (419-874-3133). Condolences to the family may be made to

I've never had the pleasure to meet Reagan, but she is a fellow sister of scarlett and gray. Her story still impacts me to this day. As I've read about her, I've learned what a bright, lovable, vibrant young girl she was with a promising future.
It is so very touching to see Reagan's family work so hard to change the State of Ohio in her name, as well as offer scholarships to new students. Her family are some of the strongest people I have ever read about. Whenever I sometimes see any court news, Reagan Tokes' name is mentioned as a law. Many things are being done in her honor, and I can't be more touched.
Reagan, I can't put into words how truly sorry I am for your time coming so soon and so unexpectedly. But it is wonderful to see all the people who love you not only carry on your legacy, but making it feel that you're more alive than ever. May God bless you, and may God bless the Tokes family.

Dear Family of Reagan, I don't know your family but I just wanted to let you know how sorry I am about what happened to your daughter. I live very close to the park and went there the other day to leave flowers for her. There is a growing memorial at the park. Just know that many of us have been greatly affected by what happened. As with so many others who have reached out to your family, I did not know Reagan, but I am completely devastated at the loss of this bright and beautiful girl. They say there is strength in numbers, and I hope that you can somehow find some comfort, knowing that you have an army of people who are sending you all love, light, and prayers. I've never known of so many people in mourning over someone that they had never met. She was obviously so very special.

I don't know you or your family however my heart is aching for your family .... I lost my dear wonderful talented son of just 20 yrs old 3.5 years ago to a tragic single vehicle accident while on his way to work on a Friday morning , and I know the pain of a having a wonderful child taken away tragically . All I can say is God WILL open up to you and get you through this , the pain will never go away but it will become more bearable in time. Be very prepared for many spiritual signs from your daughter .....she WILL let you all know that she is ok and that she's in eternity , she will be with u all most of the time and these signs and messages will help with the loss , "their spirit never dies" and as you are able to begin to cope with the loss in time the signs and messages will slowly fade till they are no longer. I think God allows this to take place to help the ones left behind to heal.
