Adeline J. Amborski-Scherer, age 83, formerly of Toledo's Point Place Community, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at Orchard Villa in Oregon, OH surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 25, 1929, in Toledo, OH to Anthony and Frances (Augustyniak) Koperski. Adeline was employed as a Cashier for the former Point Place Foodtown Grocery Store for many years. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and homemaker, she enjoyed family gatherings, card games with friends, and trips to Casinos. She was a former parishioner of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and St. Clement Catholic Church.
Adeline is survived by her sons, Robert (Kathryn) Amborski and Joseph (Melinda) Amborski; daughter, Barbara (Michael) Sugg; 6 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Frances; former husband, Joseph Amborski; sisters, Barbara Koperski, Bernice Prusczynski and Phyllis Kasza; brothers, Florian, Floyd and Raymond Koperski, and grandson, Joseph Amborski.
Visitation will be Friday from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd., with recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will begin on Saturday at 9:15 a.m. in the funeral home and continue with the Funeral Mass in St. Clement Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
