Albert William Bartelt "Pup", was born on December 24, 1922 in Toledo, OH, to the late Catherine and Clarence Bartelt, passed away at age 95 on July 11, 2018 in Adrian, MI. Albert was the beloved husband of the late Evelyn Bartelt. He was preceded in death by his brother, Donald, and sister Jackie. From 1942 to 1946, Albert served in the U.S. Navy as a gunner on the naval destroyer U.S.S. Laffey (DD-724) during World War II. After his military service, he worked in the Automotive Manufacturing industry as a foreman at The Dura Company until he retired in 1986. Albert is survived by his daughter, Donna (Bill) Bailey; grandchildren, Kimberly (John), Lisa (Ken), Robyn (Elias), and Albert (Stefanie); 23 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing, family, and friends. In lieu of flowers, monetary donations can be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, or Hospice of Lenawee. Family and friends can pay their respects at the memorial service on Wednesday, July 18 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace Mausoleum at Toledo Memorial Park, 6382 Monroe Street, Sylvania, OH, 43560.
