Aloysius "Al" Belcik, age 84, of Walbridge passed away peacefully May 12, 2013, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 16, 1928, in Walbridge to Charles and Katherine (Galecka) Belcik. On May 16, 1953, he married the love of his life Leona "Lee" Harmon. Al was employed as a Clerk/Account for CSX Railroad before retiring in 1988 after 44 years. He was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church. To Al, family always came first. Al coached baseball for the Walbridge Colts, he loved traveling and spending his winters in FL with his wife. He was an avid sports fan, he enjoyed bowling and going to sporting events with his son. Al made his own wine and was very proud and happy to offer anyone a glass no matter what time of day it was.

He is survived by his children, James Belcik, Deborah Wiedmann, and Jacqueline (Jim) White; grandchildren, Grant M. (Alexendria) Lewis, Ashley M. Lewis, Brad A. Lewis, and Michael A. Lewis, great-grandson, Hunter Lewis, and brother, Frank (Terrie) Belcik. He was preceded in death by his wife, Leona Belcik; son, Steven; son-in-law, Robert Wiedmann, and 7 brothers.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, May 15, 2013, from 4:00-9:00 p.m. in the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home 701 N. Main St. Walbridge (419-666-3121) where visitation will continue on Thursday, May 16, 2013, from 2:00-9:00 p.m. An encouraging scriptural talk given by Wayne Reed on Friday, May 17, 2013, at 10:15 a.m. followed by A Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Jerome Catholic Church with Fr. Al Ceranowski, officiating. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, , or Donors Choice.
