Barry CLEGG Obituary

CLEGG Barry Lee Barry Lee Clegg, 62, passed away June 18 at Nathan Adelson Hospice ending his courageous 3 year battle with cancer. Barry was born in Toledo, OH and graduated from Bedford High School in Temperance, MI. He was an active member of the wrestling team and a local rock band. He co-owned several businesses in Toledo before moving to Las Vegas in 2001 to work for Access Fasteners. He later became an integral part of Milwaukee Electric Tool's Las Vegas repair team. Barry was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Gloria (VanDoren) Clegg and brother, Robert. He is survived by his daughters, Erin (David) Thomas and Mary K (John) Holcomb and Christy (Monty) Clayton; siblings, David Clegg, Marsha Sebetto, Gregory Clegg, Ronald Clegg, Patricia Schuster, Susan Young, and Thomas Clegg. He was the proud grandfather of Zack, Eric, Noah, Nathan and Ciara. Family and friends are invited to a Life Celebration to be held at the VFW Post, 4120 Piehl Rd., Ottawa Lake, MI 49267, Sunday, July 17 at 2 p.m.

So sorry to hear that Barry is gone. We just reconnected on Facebook, I thought. He never did message back, but maybe too ill. He was our wedding groomsman back in 1968. Was hoping to catch up with his life, but now I can only read what others say about this sweet man. God be with the family and friends that Barry left behind. Just heartbroken we didn't chat.

What a wonderful grandfather for my sons. He always had time for them, took them to the best Vegas buffets (which is the most important thing for growing boys). Thanks Barry, we love you and miss you.

Barry, you were the one who really helped me with basketball when I was just starting to get into it. I remember many nights, playing basketball outside until way past dark, and you never stopped until I was ready to go in. You've been a great grandpa to Zack and Noah, and they love you dearly. I am so sorry I didn't make it out to see you in your final day's. I knew how much of a fighter you were and I felt I had time to see you. I love you very much!! Mary k
