Betty Louise Bradish, age 89, of Adrian died Wednesday, January 1, 2014, at Grand Court Assisted Living in Adrian, MI. She was born May 26, 1924, in Napoleon, Ohio to Dorothy E. Herrmann and Ray E. McCabe. She came to Adrian in 1942, to work in a factory making war materials. Betty then worked in several offices, but retired from Bixby Medical Center, after 23 years doing medical transcription. On February 15, 1945, she married Fred (Bud) Bradish and they had a marriage of nearly 53 years. He preceded her in death on December 16, 1997. She was very active in St. John's Lutheran Church with Ladies Aid, Board of Outreach, Prayer Shawl Ministry and the church's Bible Classes. She will be greatly missed by her church family where she was lovingly known as the "Pie Lady."
Betty is survived by her
sister, Arlene Regan; several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Besides her parents, stepfather and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Wayne, Bernard and Merlin McCabe; a great-niece, Molly Margaret Regan; a nephew, Douglas Ray McCabe; two sisters-in-law, Constance McCabe and Audrey McCabe, and a brother in-law, Robert Regan.
Funeral services will be
held at St. John's Lutheran Church at 3448 North Adrian Hwy., Adrian, Michigan on Monday, January 6, 2014, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Joel Sarrault officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, from 2-6 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian. Burial will be in Madison Center Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church's Journey in Faith. Envelopes are available at the Adrian Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian.
