Cecil V.

Cecil V. Krauss, 91, of Swanton, OH passed away Saturday, March 15, 2014, at Defiance Inpatient Hospice surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Fulton County to the late Harvey and Florence Krauss. Besides his parents, Cecil was also preceded in death by 2 grandsons, 3 sisters, and 5 brothers.

Cecil is survived by his wife of 66 years, Virginia Krauss; daughters, Helen (Tom) Rosak, Diana (Gayle) Schaffner; sister, Anna Marie Flory; grandchildren, Lisa (Steve) Blair, Brad Thompson, Jennifer (Tom) Blossom, Tiffany Thompson, Daniel (Cindy) Furko, Mathew (Lara) Furko; 22 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren.

Cecil attended Liberty Center High School and later served in the U.S. Navy during WWII as a Navy Seabee. Cecil was a farmer and also worked as a custodian for Liberty Center Schools where he retired in 1985 after 20 years of service. He was a member of Shiloh Church and the American Legion in Delta, OH.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 19, 2014, from 3 - 8 p.m. in the Wright-Habegger Funeral Home, 302 E. Maple St., Liberty Center, Ohio. The Funeral Service will be held Thursday, March 20, 2014, at 11 a.m. in the Shiloh Christian Union Church, 2100 County Road 5, Delta, Ohio with Pastors Phil Harris and Chuck Whitmire officiating. Burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery.
