Our beloved Charles E. Brisbin, born August 26, 1936, walked into the arms of the Lord April 12, 2014. He was a Data Processing Supervisor for Toledo Edison, retiring after 38 years of service. Charles was devoted to Trinity Lutheran Church, his family, and his community. He was an Elder, and an usher in the church and active in Via de Cristo prayer group. Charles volunteered in Feed Your Neighbor, Interfaith Hospitality Network, Outreach Ministry and Church Council as a former member of Epiphany Lutheran Church. As a Civil War re-enactor he participated as a member of the 6th Ohio Volunteer Cavalry group. Fishing was his latest passion and he belonged to Merickel-Farley Trout Club. He was known as Charles, Chuck, and Charlie epitomizing his grand sense of adventure. Charles had a unique and wonderful way to bring joy and love into the lives of all who knew him.

Left to cherish his memories is his wife, Charlene Brisbin; brother, Theron (Helen) Brisbin: children, Michelle (Louis) Cocchiarella, Dawn DeCoster, and Daniel Brisbin; grandaughters, Amanda (Charles) Broeker and Ashley Lockhart; great-grandchildren, Jasmine and Jacob Broeker and Isabelle Lockhart.

Charles was blessed to have stepchildren he loved as his own, Christopher (Carol) Andrews, Patricia Andrews, Jeffrey (Michelle) Dutkiewicz, and Brenda (Daniel) Keil: grandchildren, Jessica, Jenna, and Emily Andrews and Danielle, Sarah and, Hannah Keil. He will be missed by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents, Theron and Mary Brisbin; spouses, Patricia Antoszewski, and Susan Brisbin.

Visitation will be held Monday, April 14, from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at Thomas I. Wisniewski Funeral Home at 2426 N. Reynolds Rd., Toledo (419)531-4424. The funeral is Tuesday, at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 4560 Glendale Ave. Toledo, OH 43614. Interment at Toledo Memorial Park. Family will be at the church beginning at 9:30 a.m. to receive family and friends. Memorial contributions are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church.
