Charles S. Barbour III

Charles S. Barbour III passed away peacefully in Titusville Florida on September 6, 2017 at age 94. His spirits were always high throughout a decade of nursing home care. After college at Penn State and WWII service in the Navy, Charlie settled in Toledo working at the University of Toledo and Champion Spark Plugs where he was Office Manager and Manager of Salaried Employment.

Charlie became Executive Director of Triangle Fraternity and then Director of its Education Foundation. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Highland Meadows Golf Club. Charlie worshipped at Hope Lutheran Church with his late wives Virginia Orr Barbour and Lois Hodgson Barbour.

He is survived by sons, Jeffrey and Richard; grandsons, Charles S. Barbour V and Steven Orr Barbour; and four great-grandchildren.

What a wonderful, indelible mark this man left on the world. Thousands of them, literally. Thank you, Charlie,for being such a strong leader. I have Triangle to thank for who I am today and I have you to thank for Triangle. God bless you and your family.
