Craig BRACKEN Obituary

BRACKEN Craig Dwight On June 8, 2011, Craig Dwight Bracken passed away after being sick for several months. Craig Bracken was born in Toledo, Ohio on January 14, 1951, where he graduated from Jesup W. Scott High School in 1969. He went on to graduate from Findlay College in 1974 with a BA in Science. Mr. Bracken enjoyed reading the bible, playing basketball, fishing, visiting community churches, and spending time with his family and friends. Mr. Bracken worked for many years for Wang Laboratories as a computer/printer technician. Craig was beloved and will be sorely missed by his family and friends. Craig Bracken leaves to cherish his memory his children, Ernest "Maurice" Bracken (Yolanda), Monica Renee Bracken and Aaron Todd Bracken; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brothers, Tony Bracken and Tommy Bracken and a host of family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Louise Talley; sister, Diane Bracken; brothers, Robert "Bobby" Ellis and Martin Vincent Bracken. Viewing will be held on Monday, June 13, 2011 from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. at the Blanchard - Strabler Funeral Home (1163 W. Sylvania at Lockwood, 419-269-1111). Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Blanchard-Strabler Funeral Home. Burial, Historic Woodlawn Cemetery. The family invites all Craig's friends to come and celebrate his life with them, and requests that any donations be sent to 6031 Saddlewood, Toledo, OH 43613. To Craig's family, my condolences. I knew Craig 40 years ago from basketball at Davis. He was one of the best I've ever had as a teammate. He was the "go to" guy and could carry the whole team on his shoulders if he needed too, this was on a team that had some former Libbey players that went to State in 1969. Rest in peace Craig and may the good Lord cradle you in his arms.
