Daniel Delbert Obituary

DELBERT Mr. Daniel Louis Jr. Mr. Daniel Louis Delbert Jr., 71, of Florence passed away Friday, September 12, 2008, at his residence after a brief illness. He was a native of Toledo, Ohio and had resided in Florence the past 28 years coming to Florence as manager of Woolco. He later became associated with Woodmen of the World as a field representative. Visitation will be Monday, September 15, 2008, from 12-1 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. A Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. by the Rev. Andy Sullivan. His cremains will be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery, Toledo, Ohio on Friday, September 19, 2008. Mr. Delbert was preceded in death by his daughter, Anna Delbert Warrington; parents, Louis and Anna Wojciehowski; two brothers, Louis and Robert Delbert and a sister, Dorothy Naparstek. He is survived by his wife, MaryAnn Miller Delbert; two sons, Danny L. Delbert Jr. and Louis E. Delbert both of Muscle Shoals; daughter, Paula J. Delbert of Florence; grandchildren, Apryl and Timothy Wiggins of Charlotte, NC, Nicholas D. Robertson of Savannah, GA, and Hannah Delbert of Muscle Shoals. Daniel enjoyed time with his family. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather who will be missed by all. Daniel found time for his hobbies. He enjoyed the beauty of his roses that he grew, his model trains, and coin collecting. Memorials may be made in memory of Daniel Delbert Sr. to St. Joseph School Foundation, 1111 East College St., Florence, AL 35630. Arrangements by Greenview Funeral Home.

Mary Ann, Paula, Danny and Louis, I am so sorry for your loss. Mr.Delbert was a great man all of you were lucky to have him for a husband and a father. He will be greatly missed as is Anna. All of you are in my thoughts and prayers. I am so sorry I did not find out in time to make the visitation. If there is anything I can do please let me know. Again I am so sorry. You know I staid with this family so much growing up he should have been able to claim me on his taxes LOL.

Sorry to hear about the passing of Mr. Delbert. I remeber the day he moved in next door to us before any of you had come to join him. I have great memories of our time as neighbors as well as Ann Marie's wedding. You are all in my thoughts & prayers.
