Doris Carnel Calloway, 81, passed from this life into the loving arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 16, 2013 at The Toledo Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was a lifelong resident of Toledo. She was an agent for Atlanta Life and Metropolitan Life Insurance Companies. She later was a daycare provider in her home. Doris was a 54 year member of Emmanuel Apostolic Tabernacle, where she taught Sunday school, sang in the choir where her brother, Eld. Armie J. Cole Jr. was the Musical Director. Doris's favorite song was, "I'm going through." For the last 20 years, she was a
member of The Temple of Truth, Inc., where she served on the Mother's Board and as a trustee.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Armie Cole Sr. and Mary E. Cole;
brothers, Eld. Armie J. Cole Jr. and Norman James Cole. Doris is survived by son, Michael (Judy) Calloway of Slidell, LA; daughter, Deborah Hogan; grandchildren, James Calloway, Tracey (Morris) Calloway Woods, Kevin (Alana) Hogan; brothers, Elder Robert Cole, Samuel (Delores) Cole; sister, Rosemary Spencer, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be Thursday October 24, at 11 a.m. followed by funeral services at 12 noon at Good News Apostolic Chapel, 3626 Monroe St., Eulogy Blandine Walls, pastor. Interment at Willow Cemetery.
