Dorothy Jean Mc Cance

MC CANCE Dorothy Jean Dorothy Jean Mc Cance, age 88, passed away Monday, June 27, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. She was born September 19, 1922 in Hudson, Michigan. She was one of six children to Hazel and Fred Frownfelter, and leaves behind her brother, Robert Frownfelter and her younger sister, Betty Marshall. Dorothy married her first husband, William Loggins who died in 1957. Together they had two children, Larry Loggins and Beverly Hall. Dorothy remarried to Robert Mc Cance who also had two children, Bruce and Robert J.R. Mc Cance. Dorothy's husband, Robert passed away September 2000. Together they had 6 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren who they loved and adored. Dorothy was proud of her service to her country as an Army W.A.C. during WWII. After retirement, Dorothy and Robert enjoyed their winter home in Florida, and enjoyed hobbies such as fishing, camping and traveling throughout the United States and abroad. Friends may join the family for visitation on Friday, July 1st from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Weigel Funeral Home, 204 Chestnut St., in Swanton, Ohio (419.826.2631), where funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial, with military honors, will follow at Winameg Cemetery in Delta, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice, 3450 Central Ave Toledo, Ohio 43606.
