Debbie ,As each day goes by how hard it must be for you, death is not normal at all. It's because of sin that it was brought into this world,as you know why there is death now.Jesus Christ has made a perfect way for us to be with loved one's and all of his true children one day. To know our loved one's thank goodness can't see our pain at all ,as it would not be heaven if they could. The comfort we do have ,our loved one's that know him ,are in perfect Joy worshipping Jesus Christ ,or Father Lord and God and who created all forever. For us here it's always to soon, no matter what age they leave us.Isaiah 55:8&9.We know that he wanted most of all ,as he went through this, and you and your family .We knew Doug wanted people he knew to find what he found ,Jesus Christ is most important over everything. We were so happy at his departing funeral this was made clear. You two like Mike & I were best friends. and know too ,God can make just that kinda love.We also know he would want you to be comforted ,and we all know Jesus Christ is coming again for his children.Sending prayers of caring and love to you and loved ones Deb.Brother Mike & sister Teri

Doug was taken from this earth way too soon. Charismatic, handsome and such a gentle giant whose smile was uplifting to all he encountered. Your legacy lives on in your family and friends. Til we meet again big guy! Rest In Peace. Hugs, Charlotte Kollman/Slemmer, Zimmerman, Class of Fremont Ross High School 1960, former Fremont resident now residing in Sandusky, Ohio.

Doug was a gentle giant who had a quiet demeanor, great smile and excelled at everything he attempted. I was a 1960 Ross graduate and you know how juniors always revere seniors. . . Such a loss for your family, but heavens gain. He is pain free and enjoying himself. Know that he is watching over all of you and will always be there in your hour of need. Hugs--- Charlotte (Kollman) (Slemmer) Zimmerman. Cable Street, Sandusky, Ohio.

Doug, you fought the good fight for years. You showed the eye of the tiger fighting your health issues the same way you showed vigor on the ball diamond. You played, you coached, you fathered, you loved. You set an example for the many people that knew you and always admired your spirit. We will miss you. Bill and Robin Bessire

Debbie, Our thoughts are with you. Losing a loved one at Christmas is a tear-jerker. I remember how you were the only one who came thru the line at the funeral home when my Kelly died....and you just whispered "Jesus loves you, Ruthie". Do you know how much that meant to me? The reminder comforted me. So I whisper to you now, "Jesus loves you, Debbie". Ruthie
