Edward CORBETT Obituary

CORBETT Edward F. Ed went home to be with his heavenly Father surrounded by his family on March 19, 2011. A devoted and loving husband to his wife, Delphine (Corbey) Corbett, Ed most enjoyed the company of his children and grandchildren, many friend and loyal clients over the years. Born in Toledo in 1926 to Frank and Stella Katherine, Ed's pursuit of excellence in his accounting and tax consulting business drove his success for over fifty-five years. Ed's many interests included his love for golf and the LPGA, where he volunteered for eighteen years, vintage cars, history and the great sound of big band music. His greatest passion was the love of his life, his wife of sixty-two years, Corbey, their many evenings of romantic dinners at Mancy's and dancing under the stars at Centennial Terrace. Edward is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Stella Katherine and his infant son, Timothy. He is survived by wife, Corbey, and his children Jeffrey (Linda), Rick (Nancy), Denise Ann, Gregory (Joni) and dear family friend, Doni Miller. His grandchildren, Jeffrey Jr., Laura, Amanda, Katie, Cara Marie, Meaghan, Joseph, Kevin and Jacob; eight great grandchildren; and sister, Rita. A very special thanks to David Epperson, M.D. and Robert Axonovitz, M.D. for their years of exceptional care and the wonderful staff at The Toledo Hospital. The family would also like to express their gratitude to the loving and caring staff of Erie West Hospice, especially Debbie, Diane, Janelle, Marge and Tammi. Also, a special thanks to his caregivers, Beth and his special confidante, Laura. Mass of the resurrection will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. today at Gesu Church. The family suggests that memorials may take the form of contributions to Gesu Church or Erie West Hospice. Online condolences can be left at www.ansberg-west.com
