Edwin Junior

Edwin Junior Gribble, 87, went home to be with his Lord on July 23, 2013, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. He was born in Midvale, Ohio on September 6, 1925, to Edwin and Lucille Gribble, and married Doris Brewer on May 28, 1944.

Ed retired from Sharon Manufacturing in 1987, and was a proud UAW member. He loved hunting, fishing, and playing dartball with St. John's Lutheran Church Dartball Team. He was a member of St. John's, where he was a longtime Deacon and church handyman. He also enjoyed playing euchre and attending family reunions.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Melvin; sister, Wilma; two sets of infant twins (siblings), and his sons, Ronnie and Danny. He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Doris; sisters, Peggy Fouts, and Debbie Fox; his children, Patti (Milton) Pommeranz, Kathy (Galen) Molnar, Mark (Cindy) Gribble; daughter-in-law, Terrie Gribble; 11 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Avenue, on Friday, July 26, 2013. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, July 27, 2013, from St. John's Lutheran Church 708 S. Erie St. Toledo, OH 43609 at 11:00 a.m., with viewing one hour prior, with Pastor Daniel Mohr officiating. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park, Sylvania.
