Eleanor "Jean" Stokes, 81, passed away October 6, 2012, at her home. Born in Toledo, she was a retiree of B & D Café and The Chrysler Jeep Corporation. She was an avid bowler with the Jeep Ladies League. Eleanor was a member of Bethel Apostolic Temple under the pastorage of Elder Eldridge Levey. She was preceded in death by two of her children, Bonita Jean Stokes and Marvin Stokes; her parents; one brother, and two sisters.
She leaves to cherish her memory, six sons, William McNary, Charles, Clay (Shawn) Stokes all of Toledo, Guy of Norfolk, VA, Darris (Marquita) of Toledo and Vincent (Crista) Stokes of Fostoria, OH; six daughters, Aleta (Richard) Singer, Debra, Merle, Dionne and Crystal Stokes, and Sadina (Charles) Overton all of Toledo, OH; one sister, Gladys (Elder Eldridge) Levey; a brother, Cornelius McNary; 35 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be Friday 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. followed by wake services 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Dale-Riggs Funeral Home Chapel, visitation Saturday at 10:00 a.m. followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m. Bethel Apostolic Temple, Elder Eldridge Levey pastor, Elder Belinda Levey, Eulogist.
