Francis ZDUNCZYK Obituary

ZDUNCZYK Francis Richard Francis Richard Zdunczyk, age 71, passed away Thursday, January 5, 2012, at The Toledo Hospital. Frank was born in Toledo April 9, 1940, to Joseph and Philomena Zdunczyk. He was a graduate of Woodward High School and worked as a precision grinder at GM Powertrain for 31 years. He was an avid fan of movies and had an extensive collection. Frank loved any opportunity to be with his family and was particularly fond of Christmas and Easter. At Christmas, he especially enjoyed playing Santa for family, friends, and neighbors and wanted everyone to feel like they were in a Winter Wonderland. He was such a fun loving person that he felt there was no age limit for hunting Easter eggs. Frank was a scout leader and coached his kids in their various sports over the years. He was a good dancer and passed some of his best moves on to his family. He truly enjoyed his family and being there for them and will be remembered as a true family man with a big heart. Frank is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; son, Ray Zdunczyk and his children, Justin Zdunczyk, Katie (Joey) O'Harrow, and Bryant Zdunczyk; son, Robert Zdunczyk; daughter, Renee (Darren) Bostwick and her children, Joshua Zdunczyk and Jakob Bostwick; son, Ronald (Jill) Zdunczyk, and their children, Kinsey, Alyson, and Cole Zdunczyk; son, Joseph "J.C." Zdunczyk; son, David Zdunczyk and his daughter, Honesty Zdunczyk; and daughter, Ann (David) Tompkins and their children, Joseph Zdunczyk and Marie Tompkins; great-grandchildren, Dillon, Jaila, and Jordan Zdunczyk; brother, Joseph (Joanne) Zdunczyk; sisters, Gloria (Frank) Rometski, Rosie Zawistowski, and Joyce (Lee) Kuhrt and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law and best friend, Edward Zawistowski and his mother and father-in-law. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 8, 2012 from 2-9 p.m. at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd.) with a scripture service at 7 p.m. A Memorial Mass of the Resurrection will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church.
