Gayle Lynn (Grenier)

Gayle Lynn (Grenier) Barnard, age 65, of Madison, Wisconsin passed away peacefully at Agrace Hospice on Thursday, September 27, 2012. She was born on January 16, 1947, in Toledo, Ohio to Dorothy M. (Etue) Toy and the late Joseph W. Grenier. Gayle was a 1965 graduate of Notre Dame Academy. She had a long and distinguished career in the jewelry industry, beginning at Max Davis Jewelers in Toledo, Ohio, where she became a certified gemologist, from which she gradually developed an international reputation for product design in the industry. In 1968, Gayle married her first husband, Dennis L. Bagrowski, who preceded her in death in 1981. In 1987, Gayle married Robert T. Barnard, with whom she celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. Gayle was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and adoring grandmother. Family gatherings included wonderful meals, game time and laughter; she especially enjoyed cooking, golfing, knitting and solving the daily newspaper puzzles with Bob.

She is survived by her cherished husband, Bob; children, Bobby, Chris (Jerry) Linares, Rachael (Dan) Kessler, Sarah, and Jeff (Lauri); mother, Dorothy Toy; sister, Karon Kujawa, and ten granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph, and brother, Gary Grenier.

She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her, especially all of her Earth Angels.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 13, 2012, at St. Peter Catholic Church, 5001 N. Sherman Avenue. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 12, 2012 at the Ryan Funeral Home, 2418 N. Sherman Ave., and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass on Saturday at the church.
