Jacqueline B. Brown, 70, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 25, 2014, at the Sunset House. Jackie was born in Toledo on January 3, 1944, to Albert and Lila Schooner. A lifelong south Toledo resident, Jackie worked for Hinkle Manufacturing for thirty years, where she was representative for Local #12 UAW. She enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping, but mostly spending time with family. Jackie was married to Melvin Brown Sr. for forty years, and he preceded her in death in 1999.
She was the best mother, mother-in-law, grandma and friend you could ever have.
She was preceded in
death by two grandchildren, Dennis and Matthew Brown. Jackie is survived by her sons, Melvin ("Mick") Jr. (Monica) and Dennis Brown; three grandchildren, Angel, Dennis and Melvin III (Heather) Brown; great-grandchildren, Olivia Rose, Melvin Brown IV, Madison Brown, Matthew Brown and one on the way.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2014, in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park at 11 a.m. The
family would like to thank her friends from Hinkle, Lake Park and Sunset House for being there for Jackie. Arrangements entrusted to The Walter Funeral Home.
