Mr. James Earvin "Irvin" Sr.



Our beloved Mr. James Earvin "Irvin" Amison Sr., passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2014, at his home.

He was born Friday, August 9, 1946, in West Greene, AL, to the late Jesse Amison Sr. and the late Vendora Naves.

James attended Scott High School and from there, joined the Army in 1966. He was a Laborer for Local 500.

James was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Jesse Amison Jr. and George Amison Sr.

He leaves behind 6 children, Stephanie Perkins, Chevella Mitchell, James (Sandy) Amison Jr. Anthony (Neai) Amison Sr., La'Kesha (Timothy) Self and Travis Amison; 19 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and a host of loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2014, 1 p.m., at the House of Day Funeral Service, Pastor Rosetta Haynes, Woodlawn Cemetery.
