Mr. James

Mr. James Jackson was born, October 30, 1943, in Toledo, Ohio. He passed this life Sunday, July 14, 2013, at the age of sixty-nine (69) at his home in Holland, Ohio. A native of Toledo, James graduated from the Jesup W. Scott High School. He was employed at Smith Cafeteria, the Doehler-Jarvis Corporation as well as the former Community Traction which is now the Toledo Area

Regional Transit Authority (T.A.R.T.A.), prior to retirement after 37 years.

He was preceded in death by parents, Jimmy Brown and Elizabeth Parks; sister, Patricia Brown, and daughter, Kimberly Jackson. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Sandra; son, Jim Jackson; grandchildren, Simone Jackson-Richards and Traevon Jackson; brother, Ronald (Betty) Jackson; sister, Beverly Cumberland, and a host of other loving relatives and kind friends.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday, July 18, 2013, at The C. Brown Funeral Home, Inc. Chapel, 1629 Nebraska Avenue. Funeral Services will be 1 p.m. Friday, July 19, 2013, preceded by Family Hour/Wake Services at 12 noon at the Friendship Baptist Church, 5301 Nebraska Avenue. The Bishop Duane C. Tisdale, Pastor and Officiant.
