James "Stevie"

James "Stevie" Steele, AKA "Jammin Jim", passed away Sunday, April 21, 2013, at the age of 57, due to complications from an automobile accident. Stevie was a boisterous and emotional man who had a story for every occasion and an off-color joke to lighten the mood. He was a hard worker who loved two types of music, Country and Western. He was an avid singer and enjoyed Western movies, loved camping, and spending time with his family and friends as well as spoiling his grandchildren.

Stevie was preceded in death by his son, Richie; parents, Richard and Addie; brothers, Charles, Clarence, Paul and Roger. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Lillian Carol; sons, Randy (Kimmie), James Jr. (Kim), and Adam (Renee); grandchildren, Cody, Miranda, Kevin, Donald, Austin, Makenzie, Cole, Blake, Randy, Addison, Richie, and Alek; siblings, Carlos (Linda), Keith, Dolores, Janet (Jimmy) and William.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 25, 2013, at the Grisier Funeral Home in Delta. A Farewell Party for Stevie will be held at the funeral home on Friday, starting at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the Zion Cemetery, rural Wauseon. The family extends their thanks to the doctors, nurses, and chaplains of St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center for their hard work and support. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to the charity of the family's choice. Online condolences may be offered to the family at
