Jane Ashenfelter Obituary

ASHENFELTER Jane A. Jane A. Ashenfelter, age 80, of Elida, Ohio, formerly of Swanton, Ohio, passed away Wednesday morning, July 29, 2009, at St. Rita's Medical Center. She was born November 19, 1928, in Oak Harbor, Ohio to the late Fredrick and Florence (Suhrbier) Peters. She married Robert Ashenfelter, and he preceded her in death on January 25, 1981. Jane worked as a store clerk for Bancroft Cleaners in Swanton. She was a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church in Swanton and Pythian Sisters. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Annette Sack of Swanton, OH, Jerry (Linda) Ashenfelter of Delta, OH, and Jill Ashenfelter of Elida, OH; grandchildren, Lynette (Jerami) Nation, Janette Weinstein, Lucas (Cynthia) Sack, Tonya (Scott) Edgar, Rebecca Ashenfelter (fiancé, Charles Bancs), Jacob, Seth and Sara Ashenfelter; 7 great-grand-children; siblings, Melvin (Elaine) Mylander, Marilyn Sandwisch, and Carroll (Carol) Mylander, all of Oak Harbor, OH. Friends and family may visit Friday, July 31st from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 1st at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home, with Pastor Kurt Meyers officiating. Interment will follow at East Swanton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Online expressions of sympathy may be made at www.weigelfuneralhomes.com
