Jerald D. Carnicom, 79, of Maumee, passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2013, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg, Ohio. He was born on October 7, 1934, in Toledo, Ohio to Kenneth and Marie (Knauss) Carnicom. Jerry worked as a clerk for the United States Postal Service for 39 years and was also a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of the Maumee United Methodist Church in Maumee, Ohio, the Trinity United Methodist Church in Lighthouse Point, Florida, the Church of the Straits in Mackinaw City, the Mackinaw City Senior

Citizens Center, and also the Toledo Symphony Orchestra Chorale. Jerry enjoyed

teaching craft classes and also spending time at his summer home in Mackinaw City, Michigan and winters in Pompano Beach, Florida

Jerry is survived by his

sister, Carol (Paul) Tavitian; nephew, Ronald (Alexandra) Carnicom; niece, Nicole (Peter) Pawelski; four great-nephews and nieces, and sister-in-law, Reiko Carnicom. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Richard.

Visitation for Jerry will be at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, Ohio on Tuesday, November 5, 2013, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Funeral services will follow visitation at the funeral home at 11:30 a.m. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery, Maumee, Ohio.
