John A.

John A. Hazelwood, 67, of south Toledo, passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2013, at UTMC. John served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He worked for The Toledo Blade for many years in the marketing department.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Isabel Hazelwood. John is survived by his daughters, Amy (Jeff) Hazelwood-Sopher and Jenny (Kris) Hayes; grandchildren, Julia, Connor and Gabriella; sister, Heather (Lou) Otanze; ex-wife, Elaine Hazelwood, and nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will honor John's memory on Saturday, September 7th, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the American Legion Post, 2810 Airport Highway, Toledo, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the family.
