Joseph M. Lochotzki, 81, of Oak Harbor, Ohio, died Sunday, November 25, 2012, at Riverview Healthcare Campus, Oak Harbor. A son of Joseph A. and Virginia (Ambrose) Lochotzki, Joe was born on May 12, 1931, in Port Clinton, Ohio. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Joe was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, Oak Harbor, and the Knights of Columbus. Retiring in 1993, he was an auditor at the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station, Oak Harbor, and previously worked for NASA at the Plumbrook facility in Sandusky. He also worked at the former Erie Army Depot, Port Clinton. Joe was a member of the International Society for Engineering Technicians. On July 8, 1950, he married Faye L. Laubacher, and she survives.
Also surviving are his sons, Steven (Nancy) Lochotzki, Joseph E. (Brenda) Lochotzki, and James (Betty) Lochotzki, all of Oak Harbor; daughters, Jeanette Rodriguez, Port Clinton, and Susan (Dave) Streng, Oak Harbor; 11 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. Joe was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Kevin; sisters, Anna Elias, Helen Robron, Margaret Grosjean, Dorothy Mista, Josephine Defunetz, Mary Berta, and Betty Kreager, and brothers, John Barborich, Harvey Lochotzki, and Charles Lochotzki.
Friends may call from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor, where a parish wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Oak Harbor, with Rev. David L. Ritchie as celebrant. Interment will follow in Salem Township Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor.
