Lucene E. PYERS

PYERS Lucene E. (Meier) Lucene E. Pyers, 86, of Perrysburg, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2011, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. She was born November 15, 1924, in Curtice, Ohio, to John B. and Almeta C. (Ahlemann) Meier, Sr. and was a 1944 graduate of Clay High School. During WWII, she worked as an inspector for L.O.F. in Rossford and on October 2, 1954, she married Victor J. Pyers at Zoar Lutheran Church in Perrysburg. Victor preceded her in death on June 17, 1993. She is survived by her son, Dean H. Pyers; brother, John Meier, Jr., Lester B. (Mary Lou) Meier; sister, Doris Hille; and fourteen dear nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2-8 P.M. on Friday, April 15, 2011, in the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E South Boundary, Perrysburg (419-874-3133). Visitation will continue at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, April 16, 2011, at Zoar Lutheran Church where services will begin at 11:00 A.M. with Pastors Timothy P. Philabaum and Ann Marshall officiating.
