Megan Leah Bachman Obituary
Megan Leah Bachman

Megan Leah Bachman, 28, of Grand Rapids, OH passed away on Monday, August 6, 2018. Megan was born in Toledo, OH on June 9, 1990 to Randy and Connie (Keener) Bachman.

Megan was a 2008 Otsego graduate and a loyal employee of Meijer, Inc. She loved activities around the water, such as kayaking down the Maumee River or fishing on Lake Erie. Megan was very competitive in everything she did, whether it be running as hard as she could and sliding into second base, placing high in her marksman competitions, or a round of golf with her dad on Friday evenings. She also loved playing games, like Euchre and Rummikub, with her family members where her goal was always to win--but she also made sure everyone was laughing. Megan was also very active in her community. She was the Juried Crafts Chairman at Grand Rapids Applebutter Festival, where she would have celebrated her 10-year anniversary this fall and served as the Precinct Judge at the Grand Rapids Board of Elections.

Megan was always known for her quick wit, sense of humor, engaging conversations, and huge heart. Her smile was contagious, her laugh could be heard throughout the room, and she gave the most incredible hugs. She was a very compassionate, loving person who never thought twice about helping anyone. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends, but as she would say, "This isn't goodbye, it's just 'till later".

She leaves to cherish her memory: parents, Randy and Connie Bachman; grandparents, Milton Keener and Robert Bachman; sister, Lindsey (Vince) Bart, and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins that she loved dearly.

Megan was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Shirley Keener and Nancy Bachman, as well as her Uncle Gregory Keener and cousin Blake Bachman, and her beloved dog Sophie.

Visitation will be held at Calvary United Methodist Church, 24362 Third St. Grand Rapids, OH 43522 on Tuesday August 14, 2018 from 2-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. with the service being held Wednesday August 15, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. The family requests that memorials go to the Calvary United Methodist Church.
