Nancy M. (Shiple)
Nancy M. Dominique, 64, of Millbury, Ohio, passed away on July 18, 2013, at the Cleveland Clinic. She was born in Perrysburg, Ohio on March 17, 1949. She attended Perrysburg High School, but graduated from Clay High School in Oregon, Ohio and continued on to receive her nursing degree from both Mercy College of Nursing and Owens Community College. She was a nurse at Mercy-St. Vincent and Mercy-St. Charles for over 30 years. A natural caretaker, she loved using her medical knowledge to help others. She enjoyed reading as a hobby, but her greatest pastime was spending time with her family and her grandbabies.
Nancy is survived by Phillip "Stub" Dominique; her children, Jenna (Bill) Wamer, and Jamie Dominique; her grandchildren, Peyton, Lucas and Jacey; mother, Doris Shiple; brothers and sisters, Ron Shiple, Mary (Bob) Gardner, Beverly (Ron) Pelton, Jerome (Patricia) Shiple, Richard (Connie) Shiple, Barbara (John) Gray, Marcia (John) Knollman, Karen (Fred) Baumgartner, Christine Granger, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Shiple, and special-in-laws, James and Alice Dominique.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S Wynn Rd., Oregon, on Saturday, July 27, 2013, from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m., with a Memorial Service to begin at 4:00 p.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Donate Life.
Nancy's family wishes to thank the Cleveland Clinic, and all of the staff of the transplant team, surgical ICU and neurological ICU, especially the nurses whose care was excellent and whose jobs are thankless.
