Nancy J. "Busie"
Nancy J. "Busie" Koprowski, age 64, of Toledo, passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2013, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio's Perrysburg facility surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 21, 1948, in Toledo, OH to Frank and Eugenia (Swat) Rasczyk. A graduate of Whitney Vocational High School, Nancy worked for Sparagowski & Associates, Erie Drugs, Lamson's Department Store in downtown Toledo and LaSalle's Department Store at the Northtowne Mall. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church and member of their Marian Society. A dedicated volunteer at St. Francis de Sales High School, she ran a booth for their annual "Fun-a- Rama" and was a member of the school's Chappuis Society. Nancy also enjoyed getting together with her friends and fellow members of the Red Hat Society. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she cherished family and community. She will be dearly missed.
Nancy is survived by her devoted husband of 43 years, Michael Koprowski; sons, Scott (Tami) Koprowski of Canton, OH and Kevin (Tiffany) Koprowski of Toledo; grandchildren, Kyra, Kacie, Olivia and Ashton; sisters, Francine (Richard) Lewandowski, Bonnie (Rob) Fountain and Kathy (Rick Frelin) Cody; brothers, Eugene (Darlene), Tim and Anthony (Michael Gurtzweiler) Rasczyk, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Darlene Sexton.
Family and friends may visit on Monday, April 1 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd., with recitation of the rosary at 4:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin on Tuesday at 10:15 a.m. in the funeral home and continue with the Funeral Mass in St. Catherine of Siena Church at 11:00 a.m.
The family would like to thank Drs. George Pipoly and Jeff Muler and their staff, as well as the nurses and volunteers at the Hickman Cancer Center for their compassionate care and support. Special thanks also to Nancy's best friend, Pat O'Loughlin for always being there for her. Memorial tributes can be given to Hospice of Northwest Ohio and St. Catherine of Siena parish.
