Nancy L. Raufer, 85, of Oregon, OH, passed away on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Otterbein of Monclova, Nancy was born in Toledo, OH on March 29, 1933 to Norman and Grace (Wagner) Truby. She was a graduate of Waite High School. Nancy retired from the City of Oregon Maintenance Department. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and also a member of the Velvatone Choraliers. Nancy as most know, would literally give the shirt off her back to help others in need. She enjoyed singing, baking cakes, and making clothes. She was a person never to sit still, always moving, always smiling and of course…always late!

Surviving are her children Constance Jacob, Kenneth (Renetta) Jacob, Stephen (Helen) Jacob, Randy (Pamela) Jacob, Andrew "Scott" (Jane) Jacob; stepchildren, Lisa (Casey) Raufer Pickart, John (Jill) Raufer; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, June (Richard) Jirinec, Jim (Angela) Truby, John (Pat) Truby, Virginia (Jim) Corthell. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Andrew Jacob and Charles Raufer; siblings, Carol Reeves, Norman Truby and David Truby.

Visitation will be held at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon on Sunday from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Christ United Methodist Church 5757 Starr Ave Ext., Oregon, on Monday, August 13 at 11:00 a.m. where her family will greet friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Toledo Memorial Park. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Nancy's memory are asked to consider or to Christ United Methodist Church.
