Norma (Jean) L.

Norma (Jean) L. Monhollen, 84, of Point Place, placed into the arms of Christ on Wednesday, March 27, 2013, while surrounded by her loving family and being serenaded by angels. She was born on October 25, 1928, in Nevisdale, KY to Benjamin and Grace (Campbell) Croley, both of whom have preceded her in death.

A wonderful and loving homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, and she was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church. She belonged to the Ladies Shrine and the Ladies Auxiliary Point Place VFW 3265, as well as an avid reader. However, her greatest joy in life was to "hang-out" with her precious grandchildren. She was a woman of grace and beauty.

Surviving Norma are her children, Shelby (Laura) Monhollen, Janet Dickson, Bruce Monhollen and Andrea Green; daughter-in-law, Cynthia Monhollen; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Bennie Tarquinto; other son and daughter-in-law, George Green Jr. and Penny Dalton, along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward Sr.; son, Edward Jr.; son-in-law, Bruce J. Dickson; grandson, John Hoste, along with seven brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 1, 2013, from 2-8 p.m. at David R. Jasin-Hoening Funeral Home, 5300 N. Summit St., Toledo, OH 43611, (419.726.1583) and on Tuesday, April 2, 2013, from 10-11 a.m. at Messiah Lutheran Church where Funeral Service will begin at 11 a.m. with Pastor Cindy Getzinger officiating.
