Phyllis Mary Kindervater

Phyllis Mary Kindervater was born October 9, 1925 to Domenico and Marie (Johnston) Benigni in Toledo, OH. She entered Heaven's gate on Sunday, July 22, 2018 in Hamilton, TX after a brief illness.

Phyllis was a loving mother and homemaker. She made her home in Perrysburg, OH for 60 years with her husband of 48 years, Perrysburg businessman "Phil" Kindervater. They built their dream home on Sycamore Lane. Phyllis enjoyed cooking, collecting recipes and preparing meals for her family, especially on holidays.

She found pleasure spending time with her neighbors, daughters and their families. She enjoyed many meals out at fine area restaurants with her daughter Dr. Karen Kindervater. She also made several trips around the country with her daughter Linda, husband John Seth and their children. She embarked on an adventure to the "wild" west of Comanche, TX at age 90 where she spent the last 2 years of her life at Whitestone Assisted Living Center. She was faithful in remembering and honoring her family and friends with birthday and Christmas cards.

Phyllis spent many happy years on Hamilton St. in Toledo. She graduated from St. Patrick's Catholic Grade School. Jones Jr. High and Libbey High School. She was a lifelong learner, particularly staying informed about health, nutrition and medical practices.

Phyllis was predeceased by her husband, "Phil" Kindervater; her brother, James Benigni; her sister, Evelyn Koester and grandson, Jonathon Seth.

She is survived by her daughters; her granddaughter, Amanda and husband James of Abilene, TX; great-grands Skylee Seth of Comanche, TX, Zoe, Dakota and Charlie Bramlett of Abilene, TX and Daniel Seth of Perrysburg, OH; brother-in-law, William Kindervater and wife Ann; nieces and nephews who were so good to remember her with calls and cards.

A graveside service of remembrance is being planned for October at Fort Meigs Cemetery in Perrysburg.
