Raymond J. Babcock, age 89, of Toledo, Ohio died Thursday, March 14, 2013, at Arbors at Sylvania, Raymond was born in Toledo on March 3, 1924, to Raymond and Irene (Goachee) Babcock and on January 11, 1947, he married Joann I. DePriest who preceded him in death on February 28, 2011, after 64 years of marriage. Raymond served in the United States Army for 25 years. He was a veteran of three wars, WWII, Korea and Vietnam. After retiring from the military, he worked for the Lucas County Sanitary Engineering Department for 10 years. He was a member of Calvary Bible Chapel, Grand Lodge F & AM of Ohio Sylvania Pyramid Lodge #287 where he was a 32 degree Mason and a member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Toledo. He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him and remembered best as a loving father and grandfather.

He is survived by his daughters, Elizabeth (Robert) Fisher and Peggy J. (Michael) Kennedy; 9 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Harold (Bonnie) Babcock as well as his sister, Marjorie Dye. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Irene; wife, Joann Babcock; son, Ray Allen Babcock; grandson, Joseph Michael Kennedy; as well as his brothers, Robert, Lawrence, Donald and Burdette Babcock.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, March 19, 2013, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. in Neville Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland, OH (419-865-8879) where memorial services will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Andy J.
