Richard A.

Richard A. de Groff, 85, passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2012, at St. Vincent Medical Center. Richard was born August 1, 1927, in Toledo to Charles and Thelma de Groff who both preceded him in death. Richard is happily reunited with his wife, Macel who passed away December 21, 1992; his son, Michael; daughter, Lori, and stepparents Donna de Groff and Loyal Woodward.

Richard worked for Dana Spicer Corp for 30 years retiring in 1988. He proudly served as a Board Member at Large on the committee and was a 30 year member of Local 12.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force being honorably discharged in 1946. Richard loved his Ohio State University football.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Sandi (Jim) Jagodzinski, Rick (Jeri) de Groff, Mark (Jan) de Groff, Jeff (Jo Marie) de Groff, Sally (Bob) Rude and Kim (RJ) Sigan; sister, Jean Woods; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Ansberg-West Funeral Home, 3000 Sylvania Avenue where the family will receive friends from 3:00-8:00 Sunday. Any tributes may be made in the form of contributions to the . Online condolence may be left for the family by visiting the website
