Roy J. Booker, 88, passed away December 14, 2013, at Spring Meadows Nursing Facility in Holland, OH. Born in Springfield, OH, he was an honorably discharged veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during World War II. Roy worked for Chrysler Corporation for 30 years, retiring in 1963. He worked as a locksmith after retirement.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Larie Booker and his sister, Anna Lou McConnell. He leaves to cherish his memory son, Roy S. (Rebecca) Booker; grandchildren, Antonio (Cindy) and Brian Booker and Monica Booker Rodgers; uncle, John (Ophelia) Howard; 12 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, 1:00 p.m., followed by funeral services at 2:00 p.m., Dale-Riggs Funeral Home Chapel, Elder Donald Booker, officiant. Interment will be
private. Special thanks to the nursing staff of Spring Meadows Nursing Home and Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
