SCOTT Sandra Valencic Sandra V. Scott, age 43, of Sylvania, OH, died January 2, 2010, at her home, after a long, courageous battle with breast cancer, surrounded by her loving family. Sandy was born September 18, 1966, in Toledo to Leon and Carlene (Bass) Valencic. She was a 1984 graduate of Clay High School and a 1989 graduate of The Ohio State University with a bachelor's of science degree in allied health professions. Sandy was employed for 15 years as a pharmaceutical sales rep for Pfizer where she also was a therapeutic specialist for pain management and vaccines with animal health. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Sylvania; Christ Renews His Parish Team #37 and the Overbooked Book Club. Sandy enjoyed knitting, playing board games with her children and bunko with friends, camping and spring breaks in Siesta Key, FL. She loved organizing holiday parties for her children at Highland Elementary and being a sports parent representative at McCord Jr. High and Northview High School. Sandy is survived by her children, Harrison, Addison and Sheridan Scott; her parents; sisters, Sue (Spencer) Reeves and Jeannie Anderson; brother, Dan (Lorri) Valencic; aunt, Anna (Mario) Valencic Davis and uncle, Carl Bass Jr. She is also survived by her former husband, Mark Scott and nieces, Mackenzie Reeves, Valen and Victoria Anderson and Trinity Valencic; nephews, Collin and Cameron Reeves, Vincent Anderson and Alec and Seth Valencic. Family and friends may visit on Tuesday from 2:00-9:00 p.m. at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd). Funeral services will begin with prayers at the funeral home on Wednesday at 9:15 a.m. followed by Mass of the Resurrection at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Sylvania, at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Sandra V. Scott's Children's Scholarship Fund at any Fifth/Third bank. Online condolences may be shared by visiting: www.walkerfuneralhomes.com. We would like to thank everyone who helped Sandy and her family during her battle by providing delicious meals, cleaning her home, cutting her grass, maintaining the upkeep of her home, "taxiing" her children, grocery shopping and the endless prayers. Thank-you also to Hickman Cancer Center Staff at Flower Hospital and Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
