Susan "Sue" Earl, age 62, passed away on Thursday, June 20 at UTMC surrounded by friends and family. Sue was born in Toledo to Richard & Delores Earl who predecease her. A graduate of Whitmer High School in 1968 and then BGSU with her Bachelors of Education, she later added her Masters in Counseling from UT. She worked for TPS for 39 years first as a Phys Ed teacher, coach, Assistant Athletic Director and finally Guidance Counselor. Sue enjoyed students at Macomber Whitney, Libbey, and finally Start High School. She also contributed during her career and retirement as a highly regarded track official in the NW Ohio region. Sue was inducted into the City League Hall of Fame in 2011 and was instrumental in girls athletics at Macomber Whitney. Sue was the quintessential giver and gave of herself continually with her final act of donating her body to UTMC. She will be truly missed by all her friends in Toledo and Clark Lake where she enjoyed her favorite pastime of skiing and being with friends. She is survived by her cousins Dan and Jeannie Hotlzscheiter, Tom and Bonnie Hotlzscheiter, and David, Amy and Jenna Hotlzscheiter as well as a host of friends. To know Sue was to love Sue.
