Susan Sieja Obituary

SIEJA Susan V. Susan V. Sieja, age 69, formerly of Toledo, OH passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2009, at Elmwood at the Shawhan Assisted Living Center in Tiffin, OH. She was born on May 2, 1939, in Toledo, OH to Daniel and Edna (Plenzler) Sieja. Susan retired after 30 years as an Executive Secretary at Owens Illinois. A longtime active member of St. Hyacinth Catholic Church, she was very involved in the church's RCIA program. She also enjoyed gardening and was an avid reader. Susan is survived by her stepsister, Joan Jozefowicz of Toledo; one niece and three nephews. In addition to her parents; her stepfather, Stanley Jankowski and sisters, Kathleen and Nancy preceded her in death. Family and friends may visit on Sunday from 2-8 p.m. in the Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114-128 E. Alexis Rd., where Deacon Michael Pence will lead a Scripture Service at 5 p.m. Funeral Services will begin on Monday at 9:15 a.m. in the funeral home and continue with the Funeral Mass in St. Hyacinth Church at 10 a.m. with Rev. Gregory L. Peatee presiding. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Memorial tributes are gratefully suggested to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Heart Association.
