Theodore J. "Babs"



Theodore J. "Babs" Hodnicki, 90, passed away on Friday, June 27, 2013, at Windhaven Nursing Home, Temperance, MI. Ted worked at Dana Corporation for 23 years, retiring in 1985. He was a WWII Navy veteran and the recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a member and past commander of the VFW Roman "Buddy" Frankowski Post 5530.

Surviving is his brother; Daniel (Ethel) Hodnicki. He is preceded in death by his parents, Zigmund and Julia Hodnicki; brothers, Stanley, Edwin and Steve Hodnicki; sisters, Mary Slandzicki, Virginia Kozlowski and Stella Hodnicki.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2013, at Gasiorowski-Hanneman Funeral Home & Crematory, 1757 Tremainsville Rd. (at Sylvania), 419-474-8761 from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m., with the VFW #5530 Service at 6:00 p.m. and a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, July 3, 2013, 10:15 a.m. at the funeral home and will continue with a Funeral Mass at St. Adalbert Church at 11:00 a.m. Internment services will follow at Calvary Cemetery.

The family asks' that any memorial donation in Ted's name be made to either Hospice of Northwest Ohio or St. Adalbert Church.
