Thomas A. Middlekauff, age 81, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 3, 2013, at Ebeid Hospice, Sylvania. He was born in Gibsonburg, OH on September 16, 1931, to Victor Thomas and Madeline (Tillotson) Middlekauff. Thomas was a graduate of DeVilbiss High School and attended the University of Toledo. A Veteran of the US Navy, he was a Hospital Corpsman during the Korean War and a member of the American Legion. Thomas worked in sales, and for many years as an Insurance Agent throughout Toledo and Monroe, MI. He was the recipient of many awards including the LUTC Fellow in 1986. Thomas was a proud longtime standing member of the Sons of the American Revolution. He was also a member and past president of the Toledo Gem and Rockhound Society. He was the widower of Marlene (Bishop) Middlekauff and Siri (Gulbrandsen) Middlekauff.
Thomas is survived by his son, David (Gloria) Middlekauff of Temperance, MI; daughters, Susan J. (Jerry) Ruffing of Perrysburg, OH and Barbara Contreras of Indianapolis, IN; 2 grandsons; 1 step-granddaughter; 1 great-granddaughter, and 2 step great-grandsons. He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Madeline; wives, Marlene and Siri; and daughter, Carol Ann Middlekauff.
Family and friends may visit on Sunday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd. Funeral Services will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor David Claassen presiding. The Fulton County Honor Guard will conclude with a military committal service in Pleasant View Union Cemetery, Fayette, OH.
