Walter

Walter Sharp, 52, of Toledo, passed away Thursday afternoon, March 21, 2013, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo surrounded by family and friends.

On June 23, 1960, in Toledo, he was born to Larry and Rita (Allen) Sharp. He married Sherry Sondys December 26, 1986, and she survives in Toledo.

Also surviving are his children, Stephanie (Justin) Staton and Walt (Meghan Brossia) Sharp II, both of Toledo; grandchildren, Kalli and Mason Staton; mother and father-in-law, Frank and Barbara (Mack) Sondys of Toledo; brothers and sisters, Larry (Donna) Sharp and Mike Sharp, both of Toledo; Brenda (Kenny) Snyder of Sandusky and Linda Yoder of Milwaukee; many nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Kathy Carroll of Toledo, and brother-in-law, Frank (Julie) Sondys of Toledo.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Sharp.

Walt attended DeVillbus High School and later The Ohio State University, graduating with an associates degree and served in the United State Marine Corp. He worked for Decorative Panel International as a foreman the past 18 years. He cherished his grandchildren and loved life, even through the difficult times of his illness.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Charles Catholic Church with Rev. Greg Peatee officiating.

Friends may visit and share stories with the family following the Mass at the Star Academy located behind the church.
