ARMSTRONG Larry D., Sr. Larry D. Armstrong, Sr., of Clear Lake, Fremont, Indiana, formerly of Toledo, Ohio, age 71 years, passed away March 30, 2011, at Parkview Hospital, Ft. Wayne, IN. He was born on May 3, 1939, in Dayton, Ohio, to William and Myrtle (Schaffer) Armstrong. He married Kay J. (Beck) on April 19, 1958, in Montpelier, OH, she survives. She was a retired Captain of the Toledo Police Department in 1992 after 28 years of service. Also worked at Owens Community College in Perrysburg, Ohio, as chairman of the Law Enforcement and Fire Sciences Technology Programs. His memberships include being a graduate of Edon High School in 1957, he was a graduate of the FBI National Academy in 1977, and was a graduate of University Of Toledo with Master Of Public Administration in 1993, and BA in 1991. He was a member of the Clear Lake Association, The Clear Lake Lions Club, member and past president of the Clear Lake Town Council, member of the F.O.P. Lodge, Toledo Chapter. He enjoyed swimming and boating on Clear Lake, and traveling. Survivors: wife: Kay Armstrong, Clear Lake, Fremont, IN; two daughters: Kristi Armstrong, Waterville, OH and Kelly and Brian Flanagan, Colgate, WI; two sons: Larry and Beth Armstrong, Jr., Sylvania, OH, Kevin and Jo Armstrong, Canfield, OH; ten grandchildren: Megan and James Dobbs, Patrick Flanagan, Lindsy Cramer, Jaimie Cramer, Molly Flanagan, Robert Solter, Sara Armstrong, Emily Armstrong, Samantha Armstrong, Rebecca Armstrong; one great-grandchild: Blythe Dobbs; three sisters: Pat Hay, Shirley Tibbs, and Linda and Steve Welmem. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers: Bill, Earl and Gene Armstrong; one sister: Eileen Armstrong. Visitation: 5 to 8 PM Friday, April 1, 2011, at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, IN. Funeral Service: 11 AM Saturday, April 2, 2011, at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, IN. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Montpelier, Ohio. Memorials: Clear Lake Land Conservancy. Officiating: Rev.
