ANDERSON Henry William Henry William Anderson, age 91, formerly of Toledo, passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2012, at Hamilton Trace Nursing Home, Fishers, IN surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 28, 1920, in Wisconsin, the only child of a newly immigrated young couple from Sweden. His parents moved from Wisconsin in the 1920's to Brandon, FL where they established a large poultry business selling chickens to Cuba. He graduated from the University of Florida earning a Bachelor's Degree and entered the officers training at the beginning of WWII, served in Japan, and was discharged after the war as a 2nd Lieutenant. Henry married Lillian, moved to Toledo, OH and worked as a store manager at Lasalle's until retiring in 1977. Henry was his best as host to his many friends. He captained his beloved Lil' Hen pontoon at Lake Columbia for many years enjoying dancing, cards, and many friend filled "cocktail hours", always serving his homemade wines and Manhattans! He and Lillian traveled extensively throughout their marriage and Henry loved to document and share his travels. Henry belonged to the American Legion and the Scandinavian Club where his Glug was an annual event for many Holiday Seasons. Henry is survived by his wife of 64 years, Lillian Anderson; son, Paul (Colleen) Anderson of Indianapolis; granddaughters, Megan Anderson of Winston Salem, NC and Breanne Anderson of Bloomington, IN, and a nephew, Brad, and niece, Nanette, from the Bringman family. Henry was preceded in death by his son, Allen Anderson. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 30, 2012, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd. The funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. The Lucas County Burial Corps will conclude with a Military Committal Service in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park Cemetery.
