Floyd "Bo" L.
Floyd Lee Cleaves, 80, of Toledo, OH passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2014, in his home. He was born April 15, 1933 in Arlington, Tennessee to the late Elijah Cleaves Sr. and Louvenia Perry Cleaves.
Floyd, who was affectionately known as "Bo", was employed at Teledyne CAE and a member of UAW Local 12 for 30 years, retiring in April 1995.
He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church for more than 50 years. In 1960, Floyd united in holy matrimony with Josephine Marie Estridge.
Floyd was also preceded in death by his stepmother, Rhoda Mae Cleaves; eight brothers and sisters.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Josephine; son, Christopher; grandchildren, Cameron, Ayden, and Lauren; sisters, Ollie Johnson and Ruthie Crump, both of Memphis, TN, Agnes Williams, Beatrice (Bill) Andrews and Loretta Colombel, all of Los Angeles, CA; one aunt, Ruth Callahan of Columbus, OH, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, at Dale-Riggs Funeral Home Chapel, wake service 10 a.m. Wednesday, followed by Funeral service at 11 a.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Rev. Talmadge J. Thomas, officiant; burial Highland Memory Garden, Waterville, Ohio.
