Wesley J. "Wes the MAN"
Wesley J. Watson "Wes the MAN", 64, of Toledo, OH entered the gates of heaven February 12, 2014, at St. Luke's Hospital. Wesley was born to the union of Peter J. and Pearlie Watson on November 21, 1949. He was a Jesup W. Scott alumni class of 1967. Wesley was employed at City Auto Stamping for several years and advanced as a Toledo Police Officer appointed September 9, 1983, retired May 8, 2003. He was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church for over 37 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Thomas Tooson. Wesley is survived by wife, Marian Idell Watson; stepmother, Floretta Watson; sons, Wesley Watson Jr., Antonio Watson, Adrian "JoJo" (Tashida) Watson of Atlanta, GA and Johnathan (Lori) Tucker of Columbus, OH; daughters, Teresa Watson and Tamara Brenson of Columbus, OH; 14 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brothers, Leon (Pat) Watson, Peter Watson of Pensacola, FL, Charles Watson of Pensacola, FL; sisters, Cathy Lewis-Wright of Columbus, OH, Teresia Watson, Jacqueline Watson of Pensacola, FL, and Wifie Poo, Lois Hawkins, and a host of other family and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, February 21, 2014, from 4-6 p.m. with wake service 6-8 p.m. at Dale-Riggs Funeral Home Chapel. Family hour Saturday 10 a.m. and Celebration of Life Service at 11 a.m. at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. Rev. Talmadge J. Thomas, pastor, interment Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
