Florence B. Wiezbenski, age 93, of Toledo, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2014, in her home, surrounded by her family. Florence was born on November 13, 1920, in Toledo to John and Laura (Wysocka) Zak. She was a great cook, good wife and a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and was a charter member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. She worked in various food service positions during her life.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Anthony; her sisters, Ursula Haas and Delphine Studer; brothers, Edward Zak and Richard Zak, and grandson, Todd Kazmierski.
Surviving are her daughters, Laetitia (Jan) Thayer, Annette (Robert) Vogel, Deborah (Damon) Yee, Marian (Kenneth) Knapik. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Joelle (Douglas) Scholer, Spencer (Jaime) Vogel, Taryn Vogel, Jessica (Matthew) Yee, Linden Yee, Kristen (Kevin) Harris, Janelle (Joseph) Lubomirski, Nicole (Jeffrey) Dodd, along with 13 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Christine Wiezbenski, Theresa Smith, Barbara Madrzykowski, and brother, Ronald Zak, along with many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin Tuesday, February 25, 2014, in the Urbanski Funeral Home, 5055 Secor Rd. (north of Laskey) (419)475-5055 from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. where the Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Services will begin Wednesday, February 26, at 9:45 a.m. in the funeral home with the Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. in St. Pius X Catholic Church.
